The Boys First Birthday

Make A WishThe Boys First Birthday Birthday Balloons

Mum stayed the night before the boys’ birthday and they woke her up nice and early on the morning of their actual birthday

I think we were more excited than they were … we gave them Little People Garage and Farm, and an Old McDonald Tractor and Row Row Row your boat & for their baptism a Noahs Ark and Nana gave them some cars and some new fancy pants dressing gowns … Nana spent the day with the boys and us. It was a pretty low-key day as a lot was planned for the next day....

The next day (Sunday) we got up early again and set off for Church as we were having the boys re-christened … the Godparents were Alicja and Sonje – Cameron’s and Chris and Josephine – Michael's – it was a touching ceremony as the priest explained that the boys had already been christened and that we were re doing it to have a “nice” ceremony – so to speak ...

After this we went home to a HUGE party for the boys – we were having a BBQ lunch – but the weather decided to cloud over, but we still had fun packing all the people in to our house. There were kids everywhere and people sitting everywhere. Luckily the weather didn’t turn out too bad and the kids went and played in between light showers. My sister had a lolly scramble for them, luckily she remembered as I almost forgot.

My mum, sisters and others pulled together and organised all the savoury dishes, the salads and unfroze the meat (that I forgot to do the night before) & kept everyone in drinks and snacks before lunch was ready in the kitchen … as I went and saw and talked to people … Thank goodness for them as I didn’t really know where to start!

The boys received almost a toyshop full of presents of toys, clothes and books and various other things and had a great time crawling around the place. By about mid afternoon they got very tired though and although it was a mission I got them to have a small nap … they must have known.

This is a photo of all of the wonderful gifts the boys got.

The days afterwards were spent trying to find places for their new toys and things

Thank you everyone for making their day so very special ….. just like our boys! :)
